John has expertise in planning, project controls, claim management and dispute resolution, with over 20 years’ experience leading international commercial organisations in the oil & gas, power, and infrastructure sectors. Having successfully managed and negotiated disputes in excess of $1 Billion (USD), John has pioneered the adoption of statistical analysis to inform and resolve commercial disputes. In his roles as Global Contracts Manager at GE Oil & Gas, Group Commercial Manager at Origin Energy and now as a named Partner at Lewis Woolcott he continues to develop innovate commercial solutions.

Executive Director

Dan is a highly skilled senior executive providing industry leadership and governance with exceptional commercial acumen. He has over 28 years’ experience across road and rail transportation, heavy civils, infrastructure, oil & gas, and mining sectors in Australia, Asia and Europe. Dan’s specialised skill set is based on an ethos of securing best for project outcomes through pragmatic, collaborative frameworks, and an affinity to drive results, swiftly. Dan has significant experience in dispute avoidance and resolution, in negotiating contract awards, operational & business unit management, and has most recently sat on three boards for combined project values over $3.5 Billion.

Head of Department – Technology

John has close to 20 years’ experience in Data and Analytics, specialising in Machine Learning (ML), in which he completed a PhD to predict Customer Churn using ML technologies. With much of his career spent as a consultant, John has applied his skillset across a plethora of industry sectors including Mining, Telecommunications, Banking, Utilities, and Agriculture. As a pioneer in his field, John has led many organisations through their Digital Transformation, from Data Warehouse planning and design, right the way through to the implementation of Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning based solutions that has released business value to industry, well in excess of $100m.

Over 30 years’ experience in mining, oil & gas, infrastructure and defence mega projects in Australia, Europe, North and South America; Specialist expertise includes planning, project controls, estimating, cost engineering, risk quantification, independent project reviews, report writing, contract management, claim management and dispute resolution in both EOT and Quantum. Evan is an innovator and leader in the control of projects.

Stephen has been a Chartered Engineer for nearly 30 years.  His career in the oil & gas industry includes engineering and project management roles with BP Exploration, Shell and Santos.  More recently, Stephen was Head of Contracts with Origin Energy on the APLNG Phase 1 project.  Since gaining a Master of Business Law in 2008, Stephen has mainly practiced in contracts and dispute resolution, having assisted on various large complex technical claims, including Inpex Ichthys subsea systems.

General Manager – New South Wales

Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge in international construction having worked for a number of global consultancies and blue- chip organisations across ANZ and Europe He has a diverse commercial perspective and project lifecycle view, having represented operators, government, professional services consultants, engineers and contractors over the last 25 years.  Jonathan has a strong background in setting up and developing PMOs and specialises in project management, project controls, procurement and risk management across various industry sectors. Jonathan has a BSc in Design and Construction Management and a MSc in Project Management. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

He has demonstrated expertise in the strategic selection and development of projects under varied delivery models and supports Lewis Woolcott Team’s Business Development activities.

Kevin is a professionally qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor and RICS accredited Adjudicator for NSW, with over 30 years’ experience in commercial management, working with international Tier 1 contractors across the Building, Infrastructure, Mining and Transport (Rail and Road) sectors in senior management positions. Kevin has a strong reputation for robust management of projects, together with risk & opportunity, claims including insurance and disputes, in addition to leading effective teams to complete projects including joint ventures.

Scott is a Senior Contracts Manager with over 20 years’ experience working in the Telecommunications, Oil & Gas, and Construction sectors. Scott has successfully managed multibillion dollar projects and overseen and resolved large complex commercial disputes. Scott is accustomed to working hand in glove with Tier 1 law firms and brings significant practical construction and contract administration expertise to the projects he supports.

Tom is a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 15 years of international experience in cost planning, commercial management and claims preparation for clients and top tier contractors in residential, mining, major infrastructure, and civil projects. Highly experienced in analytical quantity surveying, Tom has a depth of construction knowledge gained on site and a diverse portfolio of engagements including secondments with clients, PQS, contractors and claims, accounting, and consulting firms.

Jesse specialises in forensic planning and dispute resolution with 10+ years’ experience working on major building, infrastructure and resource projects. With several expert appointments and adjudications under his belt, Jesse is an up-and-coming delay expert. With a civil engineering degree and a range of skills including significant expertise in all types of planning software and strong commercial acumen, Jesse is a highly sought-after expert and a valued member of the LW team. Jesse is a Member of the Australia Institute of Project Management.

Andrew is a Contracts Administrator with 5 years’ experience in Contracts Administration for major infrastructure projects in the Rail and Telecommunications sector. Andrew has developed expertise in subcontractor and claims management, dispute resolution and financial reporting along with a focus on improving efficiencies and processes to achieve beneficial outcomes for the project.

Lauren is a skilled contracts administrator with 10 years’ experience working in the oil and gas sector, specialising in claim and dispute resolutions and commercial framework.  Most recently she worked on the Australia Pacific LNG Project valued at $11 billion assisting the Phase 1 Insurance Claims and Pipelines teams.  Prior to this, Lauren worked as a paralegal for a number of years in boutique law firms. Lauren is also a qualified Justice of the Peace.

Martin’s expertise includes planning and scheduling, forensic delay analysis, document control, database design, estimating assistance, and P6 administration. Other commercial interests include systems development, science, and technology.

Having completed a Master’s Degree in Construction Management and Project Management at Bond University, Sambhav has experience in planning, cost estimating and programme management, working on projects within the Infrastructure and Resource sectors. Highly skilled in multiple software programs including but not limited to Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Revit, and Power BI, he also holds certifications in Agile Project Management and Six Sigma. In addition, he has international experience as an Architect, is a member of AIQS, AIB and RMIA, and is an upcoming Quantity Surveyor and Planner.

With over 17 years’ experience, Andrew has worked for major Contractors and Operators across Australia, Canada, Saudi Arabia and United Kingdom. He has specific expertise in forensic delay analysis, project planning, and cost engineering. With real world experience of all project life-cycle phases within oil & gas and mining, rail, infrastructure and building, Andrew has worked on a variety of projects, including Queens Wharf Brisbane Integrated Resort Development, Eglington Cross Rail project – Toronto, Inland Rail Project, Arrow Energy Shell / Petrochina Joint Venture LNG Project & APLNG Project.

Glenn has over 15 years’ experience in material expediting and inventory coordination within the Oil & Gas and mMining sectors and has a strong ability to identify operational and productivity improvements in respect of inventory coordination and stakeholder management. Glenn also spent 7 years as a NATA signatory and lab technician, giving him a robust understanding of QA standards. Specialist skills include expediting, material management, purchasing and procurement.

Jess is a highly experienced Oil & Gas, Mining, Marine and Health Sector professional, with 20 years’ experience in Operations, Commercial and Project Management. Jess has an extensive education profile including multiple industry degrees and certificates, and is very familiar with emergency and crisis management. In addition, Jess has spent 10 years in the elite AMOSC Core Group providing oil spill response worldwide, in both an Operational and Management position.

Justin graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mathematics & Statistics in 2021. He has joined Lewis Woolcott as a Graduate Planner after three years’ learning experience managing civil projects. During this time Justin has submitted tenders, overseen ongoing project management and undertaken post-project tasks for civil projects such as subdivisions, drainage and pavement projects.
